Toscano cigars are not just your typical cigar, as the Kentucky tobacco used to make them is commonly seen in cigar and pipe tobacco.
The Toscano Toscaniello cigar has a distinctive oval shape and an uneven surface. The veins within the wrapper leaves are not seen as defects but are characteristics of a quality Toscano cigar.
The impressive taste is created through a rapid fermentation process and then flame-cured in oak and beech-fired kilns for 15 to 20 days.
These powerful, densely packed cigars come with a high nicotine content and are viewed as a “dry cigar” or “cheroot,” which means they do not need to be stored in a humidor. Traditionally, it is not smoked as a whole but cut in half and shared with a friend.
